When it comes to vehicle protection, there’s nothing tougher than Rhinohide. The brainchild of Marc Berryman – an entrepreneur who was famously rejected on Dragons’ Den inspired show Shark Tank for his idea – Rhinohide Armor has changed the way we protect our 4x4s and pickups since its emergence onto the market.

As a stockist of Rhinohide Armor kits, we’re proud to supply off-road driving enthusiasts and 4WD fans with the protection their body panels need. In this blog post, we explore why you should ‘armour up’, uncover just how compatible these kits are with specific vehicles and accessories, and delve deeper into how they can be utilised long after installation.

Why vehicle protection matters

The value of protecting your vehicle from the extremities of life both on the road and off shouldn’t be underestimated. Your 4×4 may after all be tough but it’ll encounter its fair share of challenges, which, without the right vehicle protection upgrades, could put you and your passengers at risk.

Rhinohide Armor – the best in the business

Rhinohide Armor kits go above and beyond the average vehicle protection. The unique and patented design is a product of rigorous testing. This means you’ll find the safeguard you need to protect your vehicle’s body panels from any kind of damage that can be sustained on or off the road, including scratches and scrapes from branches.

As well as preserving the appearance and condition of your vehicle in the short term, it’ll help to uphold that resale value. With durable, UV stabilised, high impact, on and off-road rated – the kit’s unique attachment system means it can be used on the road up to speeds of 75mph! – ABS material and rugged construction, Rhinohide Armour is extremely tough.

Rhinohide panels can even be painted, wrapped, colour coded or customised to your preference. These complete kits are also super simple to install.

How compatible are these kits with my vehicle and other upgrades?

You’ll find vehicle-specific Rhinohide Armor kits for a selection of popular 4WD makes and models. These include the Ford Ranger T6.1 PX4, Isuzu D-Max Series 3, and Jeep Wrangler JL JLU 2018-on.

It is however important to note that Rhinohide Armor isn’t available for every vehicle. The design and development process that goes into making just one of these kits is lengthy and expensive. There are new kits continuously in development, so if you don’t see Rhinohide Armor for your vehicle in our shop, keep checking back.

Rhinohide kits are compatible for use with other accessories, including snorkels, although some simple adjustments may need to be made to accommodate certain additions.

What about installation, ongoing use and maintenance?

Rhinohide provides everything you need to install your new body armour with ease. Attaching this specialised kit is something you can do at home as Geeks Around Globe explains:

“Rhinohide makes vehicle body armor, especially for off-road vehicles to protect the paint of your 4×4. Rhinohide body armors are completely removable and reusable. It’s very, very simple to put on. It doesn’t need any specialist equipment, anyone can fit the protective parts to the vehicle body. So no specialist is needed, the customer can install or remove these light-weighted protection parts at any time they want to.”

While the panels are intended to attach and remain on the vehicle for the long haul, they can be easily removed at any point. When your kit isn’t in use, be sure to store it in a cool, dry place in the specially designed, padded bag provided. Panels should also be cleaned before they are stored.
