With its mountainous and densely forested north-eastern area (which also just happens to be home to Mount Kilimanjaro), expansive plateaus and incredible array of lakes, Tanzania is an inspiring place to be a 4×4 owner. Perfect for exploring Tanzania’s diverse terrain, a 4×4 gives you the freedom and flexibility to enjoy the best of this beautiful country – and the right accessories will make all the difference to your experience!

With upgrades in stock and ready to ship for a range of popular vehicle models – including the Toyota Land Cruiser (76, 78, 79,100, 200 and 300 Series), Toyota Hilux, Prado, Nissan Patrol, Nissan Navara, Ford, Mitsubishi, VW and Isuzu – you are certain to find the parts and accessories you need to take on your very own adventure. But, what should be on your hitlist when you next order with us?

Suspension kits

When compared with cold weather or rock crawling adventures, tropical touring is very much a different beast. Extreme heat can take its toll on many vital components, with your suspension parts in particular adversely affected. We’ll let Buellton Garage explain more about the effects of heat on suspension system parts:

“High temperatures can cause the oil in the shock absorbers to break down and lose its effectiveness. This can result in reduced damping ability, leading to a bumpy ride and decreased stability… Excessive heat can weaken the metal in the springs, causing them to sag or break. This can lead to uneven tire wear, poor handling, and an uncomfortable driving experience.”

With all these challenges to contend with, your suspension system has to be up to scratch and of a particularly high standard, which is unfortunately not the case across many OE packages. Go heavy duty by replacing your current setup with one of our premium suspension kits.

Storage systems

When touring Tanzania and beyond, storage matters. Thankfully, there’s a long list of storage upgrades to help boost your capacity and improve organisation when travelling off the beaten track. From roof racks to interior storage solutions like drawer systems and roof consoles, you can enhance your setup both inside and out to keep all those tour essentials within easy reach.

Recovery essentials

Your choice of recovery and self-rescue gear is another important consideration when exploring Tanzania via 4×4 for work or leisure. This is especially true if you intend to travel alone.

You’ll find an array of winches, recovery kits, recovery boards, ropes, shackles and more in our recovery and rescue collection, with each boasting the premium quality to serve you well in both the short and long term wherever your Tanzanian tour takes you.

Mechanical parts

While safety and storage are no doubt critical when overlanding, honing the performance of your 4×4 will also be a top priority. Upgrading the mechanical setup of your vehicle doesn’t have to be complex or time consuming, with our complete brake, clutch and rebuild kits all accessible and making off-road life much, much easier.

You can explore our mechanical upgrades to find the right kit for your build and have them shipped direct to you by our delivery partner, MK Logistics.

Camping gear

No touring setup would be complete without camping gear, and with our selection of accessories, you can customise your 4×4 to your exact needs ahead of your Tanzanian trip. Find the perfect awning or roof tent for your make and model, and source all the necessary refrigeration and power upgrades to create a home away from home right here.
