Whether you are an overland explorer or a commercial user, a high-grade hard top is a vital accessory. Many hard tops on the market are made from fibreglass (GRP) or plastic, and whilst these more basic products may keep the weather out, they are not very durable or secure. GRP or plastic hard tops also have little or no load rating, which means that they cannot support roof racks or other loads. For this reason, we see many users removing their factory standard hard tops and fitting something more durable.
Steeler are a long established European manufacturer, with a huge state of the art facility in Poland. Their customers include military bodies, police forces, agricultural and commercial users, leisure users and overlanders. Steeler Utility hard tops are made from durable but lightweight aluminium alloy, with robust internal bracing. This allows for loads to be added to the roof, including roof racks and roof tents. Gull wing side doors are standard fitment, these are fully locking and hinged with gas struts included. All openings are sealed, to keep water and dust out.
The option of front and rear glass is available for all models, with high level brake lights coming as standard on all models which require them. The roof reatures a useful track system, which will accept products such as Front Runner roof racks and roof bars. Interior LED lighting is available as an option (custom wiring is needed). All hard tops come as standard with the MOLLE System panels on the inside, for attaching a wide range of standard accessories; this is fitted to the inside of the gull wing doors and also to the inside of the front panel (not if the hard top is supplied with front and rear windows).
