High-grade recovery equipment is vital for several reasons. Off-road recovery and rescue can be challenging and hazardous, and low-cost recovery equipment can be prone to failure. When overlanding, replacements can be impossible to obtain and recovery failures can leave you or your vehicle in perilous situations. Saber Offroad have painstakingly designed and developed a product range which is aimed at seasoned off-roaders and adventure seekers. The range features many technical innovations and specially developed materials, whilst minimising weight and bulk.

When size and weight are serious factors in recovery kits, Saber Offroad are proud to offer this heavy-duty, small and lightweight alternative to a snatch block. This recovery ring weighs only 350g and has a total diameter of only 95mm, with an internal diameter of 64mm. Based on this size, it is almost one eighth of the weight of a similar-rated snatch block. Saber suggest that you combine the ring with their 9,000kg Soft Shackle. This ring is specifically suitable for the ATV/UTV market, running smaller winches and trying to cut down on size and weight.

The Ezy-Glide Recovery ring must ONLY be used with soft shackles and synthetic winch ropes. It is important to note that Saber HDX shackles are not ideal for these rings due to their Technora Binding that is incredibly durable, but will add friction to the system.

This product has been engineered to maximise capacity and minimise rope wear. We know that any tight bend in a rope under load decreases its strength and can cause damage, potentially leading to premature failure. In discussions with winch line fibre manufacturers, Saber were advised that an 8:1 ratio for internal channel diameter (not outer diameter) is recommended. With an internal channel of 64mm (outer 95mm), this product is ideal for winch ropes up to 8mm in diameter.
