“Will this fit my vehicle?”
Yes, providing that you correctly select your model/engine variant. RaceChip have developed hundreds of different versions, specifically tested for individual engines.
“Will I really save fuel?”
Yes, if you continue to drive in the same manner as you did before. RaceChip increases torque, which allows for earlier gear changes and therefore lower RPM. This can give savings of up to 20% depending on your driving style.
“Why might I need to fine tune RaceChip to suit my car?”
Every engine is different, due to factors including manufacturing tolerances, engine condition, mileage, etc. Factors such as fuel quality and grade also affect performance. RaceChip can be easily fine-tuned to give optimal results for your individual car.
“How does the engine warranty work?”
RaceChip have spent more than a decade testing and perfecting the GTS, with more than 100,000 units being sold worldwide per year. “Which mobile devices can be used with the RaceChip app?”
Most modern Android or Apple smartphones are compatible.
“Can I add Bluetooth app functionality at a later date?”
This is not possible as the Bluetooth version is supplied with an on-board chip; this cannot be added at a later date.
“Will this device work with engines or models which are not listed?”
RaceChip spend a huge amount of time and resources testing each device on specific engines. The device will not work correctly if fitted to a different model or engine.
“Which is better – fitting a tuning box or having a remap?”
We think that RaceChip is the better choice for several reasons. Remaps overwrite your car’s ECU software, and can remove safety parameters. RaceChip can be easily fitted and easily removed, leaving your car’s ECU in its original factory state with all safety parameters still in place. RaceChip is much cheaper than most remaps, and works with 100% standard vehicles; whereas to get the full benefits from many remaps you may need to upgrade intercoolers, exhausts, etc.
