The Dometic FreshWell 3000 is an under-bench air conditioner for vehicles up to 8m in length. This is a space-saving unit for many motorhomes, vans and caravans, and does not require mounting to the roof. The adaptable air distribution system can be custom-installed with air flow being delivered to either one area or different rooms as required. All functions are controlled with the supplied remote control.
Installation of this kit requires various additional parts, which are not required with roof-mounted units; this kit includes a 60mm diameter circular air outlet, 10m of flexible air hose, a 60mm 90 degree elbow and a 240 x 240mm rectangular air grill. This unit is normally intended to be installed when the van is being fitted out or refurbished, due to the air hose needing to be run behind cupboards and units. Every installation is different, so we will need full details and photographs to be able to confirm final installation time and cost.
This product can either be supplied for self-installation, or it can be fitted at Dometic’s own installation facility in Tewkesbury. If you choose to have your unit installed by Dometic, an extra 12 months will be added to the product warranty. Additional fitting costs may apply, depending on the specifics of your vehicle.

“Is this easy to install?”
Yes, installation is straightforward, but for a very reasonable cost the unit can be installed by Dometic’s specialist technicians.
“Is drilling or cutting required?”
If your roof already has the correct size opening then drilling or cutting may not be required, but it does vary by install.
“I already have an old AC unit fitted, can the Dometic engineer remove this?”
Yes, this can usually be removed as part of the installation process.
“Are there any other installation costs to pay?”
This depends on your vehicle and the details of the install you require.
