The Dometic PLB40 Ah Lithium Iron Phosphate battery pack delivers surprising levels of mobile power – it can for example run a Dometic CFX3 45 portable fridge for 53 hours on a single charge. Designed for powering portable coolboxes and other 12 V appliances, this portable battery is lightweight and has a compact design so you can enjoy true independence and travel off-grid for longer.
The difference between the PLB40 and lesser power packs lies in its integrated Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFeFO4) battery cells. Dometic engineered this product for harsh environments with a stainless steel handle, integrated DC-DC charger and a range of charging tech. The PLB40 can be charged via a 12 V vehicle power socket, solar panel or AC power.
The built-in dieplay is easy to use and provides information including battery status, capacity, charging status and output status. The PLB40 is splash-proof and has covered ports, with built-in battery management and over/under voltage protection. All these innovations and features combine to give a life cycle which is up to five times longer than more commonly-used lead acid batteries.

The PLB40 takes about 5 hours to fully charge from flat.

The PLB40 is IP44 rated, so it is sealed against dust and water splashes but is not waterproof.
