The range has grown and grown over time, from Toyota Hilux and Land Cruiser models to the Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi L200, Patrol, Jimny, Wrangler, Defender, D-Max and others. Depending on the needs of the model, some vehicles can have up to six different guards available; and that’s not where the range ends. N4 Off Road have more recently added products such as bumpers, side protection rock sliders, filtration products and spare wheel mounts to the range, and their in-house design team is always toying with new ideas.
As the market has diversified in the 2010’s, N4 have increasingly focused on products for the motorhome, camper and van lift markets – particularly the Sprinter, Transporter, Daily and other vans. These vehicles are often converted into heavy overland campers and there is a particular need for the most robust vehicle protection solutions.
Another popular innovation is the hidden winch mount – a product which allows for a winch to be installed inside the vehicle’s factory front bumper. There are various advantages here when compared to fitting a steel winch bumper: the factory appearance is retained, the winch is largely hidden from prying eyes or would-be thieves, and installation is relatively straightforward with fewer vehicle modifications being required. Whilst care should be taken in selecting an appropriate winch for your installation, it is surprising with many vehicles how much space is available within the factory bumper area.
