Notes: OME Caster Correction Kit will increase caster angle by 2 degrees. Should the front sway bar contact the driveshaft when suspension is at full droop, OME FK19 Front Sway Bar Spacer Kit (available separately) should be fitted to pack the sway bar down. For heavily loaded applications, it may be necessary to step down one spring selection in the front to maintain correct rake. For vehicles with ABS brakes, OME ABS Wire Bracket Kit must be fitted to pre August 2016 models; for later models ask for advice or refer to PIB no 343. OMESTAB9 Sway Bar is highly recommended when fitting contstant 700kg or 800kg leaf springs; it can also be fitted with lighter leaf springs to improve road handling. If fitting OMESTAB9 Sway Bar, OME FK76 Fitting kit will be required for models with OE sway bar or OME FK77 Fitting Kit for models without OE sway bar provision. OME Rear Brake Proportioning Kit suits vehicles prior to August 2016 production only; due to variations in tray clearance, a different Brake Proportioning Valve Kit is sometimes needed. OME Rear Brake Line Drop Kit is mandatory for models built from late 2014 to late 2016 only. OME parabolic springs are only designed to be fitted with an OME airbag kit, they cannot be fitted without airbags.

Whether you are travelling on-road, using your vehicle for green laning or competition purposes, or towing a caravan or trailer, the importance of a fully integrated 4×4 suspension system is paramount. Often, factory suspension setups cannot cope with extended heavy use and over time your springs can corrode or begin to sag. Shock absorbers can also become degraded or start to leak. Handling and load carrying can then suffer and eventually, if not replaced, components can fail. This could render the vehicle un-roadworthy and may even leave you stranded or cause an accident.

These are high-grade kits with worldwide warranty support and every single component is developed and tested in-house by dedicated suspension engineers.
Driver and passenger comfort were top of the list when the engineers at OME developed this kit. Adding parabolic springs and airbags to your vehicle will take your suspension performance and comfort to the next level. OME parabolic springs feature specially designed tapered leaves and are much lighter in weight than traditional multi-leaf packs. This gives next level ride comfort on and off road whilst still maintaining great off road ability. Adding air bags to the kit is mandatory and the OME airbags are unique in that they feature an internal bump stop, allowing them to be run at 0 PSI when the vehicle has no load.
The OME airbags come with brackets and fitting hardware, air lines and schrader valves for inflation. This is the same fitting as is used on car tyres and means that the airbags can be inflated with a foot pump or at a petrol station. Alternatively, if the vehicle has an ARB on-board air compressor (any ARB on-board model is suitable, see our other products) it is possible to add the optional Bluetooth Control Module kit. This is controlled by a smartphone app which runs on most Apple and Android devices, and allows for precise inflation and deflation control via the app. If you have the ARB Linx system in your vehicle, it is also possible to use this to control the system, additional hardware is required.
Selecting the right kit for your vehicle weight and usage is very important. Most standard vehicles, without extra permanent weight, will benefit most from a medium-rate setup. Some kits are given a weight rating in kg, this applies to permanent front or rear accessory weight such as steel bumpers, winches, etc. Other kits are rated for "bull bar", "bar and winch" and so on; this refers to full-weight protection bumpers and bull bars.

“Why should I buy a premium suspension kit?”
Old Man Emu kits are developed as a complete system and undergo extensive testing, both on and off road. This leads to a safe, comfortable and durable suspension. Very few brands actually do this; many lesser brands will just buy in parts which were never intended to work together. This can lead to poor ride quality, unpredictable handling or even safety issues. OME suspension is not cheap, but it works really well.
“How are OME parabolic springs different to regular leaf springs?”
Normal multi-leaf springs are heavy and are formed from multiple strips of metal. Each leaf is flat, with no taper. OME parabolic springs are much lighter weight and feature tapered leaves, meaning that less spring thickness is suppoprting the load when it is not needed. This gives improved handling and reduces unsprung weight which further improves comfort.
