When building a camping or overland rig, or just for day to day use, we all have smaller items which need to live in the vehicle but don’t have a specific place to be stored. Almost without exception, the cavity inside a vehicle tailgate or rear door is wasted as it is covered by a fixed panel.
Australian off road experts Huracan Fabrication have developed a clever and practical storage system wnich converts the tailgate internal space into a useable storage locker. With durable hinges, a hardwearing finish, recessed latches and protection for the inside of the tailgate, plus the option of a polycarbonate protector panel, the tailgate can be used as before including for standing on or loading the vehicle, whilst housing a clever and hidden storage space.
If you are looking to add LED lights to your Tailgate Storage system, this kit makes it easy. Whilst it is supplied with a 9v battery holder for quick installation, this product can be wired to the vehicle power system and will accept anything from 9v DC to 24v DC. Measuring 800 x 16mm and weighing around 200g, this is a worthwhile upgrade to add to your Huracan Tailgate Storage system.
