As is the case with all hobbies, there are quite literally hundreds of online blogs dedicated to the wonderful worlds of off-roading and 4×4. But with so many to choose from (this one included, of course), which are the blogs that are worthy of your attention? Allow us to elaborate.

4×4 Magazine

Not only the UK’s best-selling 4×4 magazine but also a valuable online resource with hundreds of hours worth of content for your perusal. For our money, however, the cream of the crop is the incredibly thoughtful blog from Hils Everett, whose opinions are rarely controversial but always engaging and very well written.

4×4 OffRoads

The title might not be anything to write home about but as far as comprehensive blogs go, this might just take the cake. The best thing about this blog might not be the blog itself though, but the many videos that take the form of everything from vehicle and accessory reviews to tutorials and off-road racing stories.

Four Wheeler

Less of a blog and more of a network featuring material from dozens of other incredible 4×4 outlets. If you want to see the latest news and reviews on the latest vehicles then this is probably your best bet. In fact, given the wealth of information here, we’d say that if you only put one off-road blog in your favourites it should be this one.

The Last Great Road Trip

For anyone planning a big trip, this is the blog that offers all the best tips and tricks for off-road adventures. While you might not head here for the latest news and reviews, if an off-road holiday is something you’ve always fancied then you’ll find dozens of ideas here alongside recommendations for products that will make it all that much easier.

Life’s Too Short For Boring Cars

While not 100% a 4×4 blog, this tongue-in-cheek blog features more than its fair share of off-road vehicles. The clue is in the title, this is all about the kind of vehicles that drop jaws and get tongues wagging.

Powerblock TV

For fans of Top Gear (the old one, before Clarkson’s sandwich incident) this is probably going to be the ideal place for 4×4 content. It’s full of videos that mine a similar level of comedic revelry as the classic BBC show, only there is a spate of 4×4-focused episodes that will really entertain off-road fanatics of all persuasions.

Extreme 4×4

If you like to push the limits as far as the hobby is concerned, this is the place to get your fix. As the name suggests, this is a blog that’s focused on the more cavalier aspect of off-roading. Even if you’re more of a Sunday driver, there are hundreds of incredible photographs here and you can always live vicariously through the daredevil drivers that populate the articles.

4×4 Adventure Tours

If you’ve always wanted to go on a full-blown 4×4 adventure but don’t honestly think you’d ever have the time, this might be the next best thing. If, on the other hand, you’re looking for inspiration for your next big vacation then you’ll also find loads of tips and ideas to get your engines running.

4×4 Events UK

One of the best things about the 4×4 community in the UK is the number of events that take place across the country. If you want to know when the next big show or meet-up is happening then this is a fun and informative read.

Auto Butler

Looking after our 4x4s is something many of us take very seriously. If you want to know how to best keep your vehicle looking and running its best for many more years and decades, Auto Butler presents regular features on the right 4×4 accessories to buy, how to use them, and when it’s time to throw in the towel.
